This publication has been realized on the occasion of Manifesta 8, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art which takes place in the Region of Murcia in 2010. It is a resource made by the Manifesta 8 Art Mediation Department and is aimed at teachers, students and everyone interested in learning about, through and with art.

Medular is the dynamic guide of the Manifesta 8 Education Department. Together with our guests and collaborators we invite you in for a closer look at our program and its ongoing development. Medular functions as the virtual backbone of our program and aims to make the structure of the education program at Manifesta 8 visible and accessible. It is the space in which we share our ideas and experiences and which will act as a flexible and organic guide of a project that far from trying to establish itself as a closed program, is intended to be a ongoing research, analysis and critical review, both of our own practice and of the biennial and its context.
