Schnitt. Educational Turn is a series of seminars on the current developments in art mediation in exhibition settings. The third edition will focus on intentions and aims of art mediation.

Departing from the methodology proposed in the Manifesta Workbook Yoeri Meessen and Thea Unteregger will present a workshop which will constitute of a collaborative effort to create means and tools to de- and refine intentions and aims in ones practice as an Art Mediator.

When considering aims and goals in art mediation one quickly realizes that they are plentiful. Some are explicitly formulated while others implicitly present, some are intrinsic to the field of art while others are much more geared towards social or political ends.

Which goals are relevant, realistic and intentional in which situation? To what extent does a given context define your aims as an Art Mediator?
