Finissage DIALOGUES by Lumen Travo Gallery

We are pleased to invite you to the finissage of our in-house exhibition DIALOGUES, curated by Lumen Travo Gallery.

The evening will start with a Roundtable discussion with as central point the book Compassion, A Paradox in Art and Society, initiated by Rini Hurkmans and published in June. The book explores the position an artwork can take in the public domain, how it can focus on ethical issues in society and how it can stimulate individuals and groups to take action.

After the discussion, guests are cordially invited to join us for drinks.

Invited guests for the discussion:

Nick Aikens, curator at the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven; Binna Choi, curator and the director of Casco, Utrecht; Christa-Maria Lerm-Hayes, Professor and Chair of Modern and Contemporary Art History at the University of Amsterdam; will share their visions and viewpoints on the relationship between art and ethics in our time. The discussion will be moderated by Bojana Panevska.
