Norwegian artist Torbjørn Rødland was hosted by dentist Danielle Heller Fontana, who gave him permission to photograph her at work. While Zurich’s highly regarded dental surgeon aspired to create perfect smiles through precision and technical expertise, this project was occupied with less practical associations, exploring the subject of teeth as a symbol for intuitive fears and irrational anxieties.
