Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.
On the left wall of the C.P.C.A, a former warehouse and cold-storage depot, Luxembourger/German artist Michel Majerus conceived a large pictorial installation, which at the same time acted as an architectural intervention that altered the character of the building and its interior.
