José Bedia, born in Havana, Cuba, is a prominent artist known for his installations and artistic technique. He blends African traditions with indigenous American art, creating a distinctive synthesis. His work has been showcased at the biennials of Venice and São Paulo, as well as at respected institutions like the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Bedia's art is housed in several renowned international collections, including those of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Tate Gallery in London. He currently resides in Miami, Florida.
