Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

As time goes by, Nora Ancarola's work becomes more closely tied to two aspects of reality that deeply concern her. The first one is the exploration of the potential of artistic mediums to offer fresh interpretations. This practice allows her to revisit both small and large historical narratives, as well as social realities. The second one is delving into the observation and utilisation of the creative process. This approach recognises creativity as a tool for transformation to address individual and systemic discomfort.
Taking all of this into account, Nora uses visual elements where images blend the personal and the public, with a clear aim to rethink the rules that guide them. Each project involves a unique development, requiring specific technical resolutions and spatial considerations. The ongoing dialogue between image and text has been a consistent feature in her work.
Her latest projects highlight the growing significance of collaborative efforts and the social-political dimension in Nora Ancarola's professional journey.
