Julian Irlinger’s work explores memory and how history is passed on through the recovery and reinterpretation of small, often overlooked stories. Working with archives, visual languages and historical imagery, he uses film, drawing, photography, installation and sculpture to question dominant historical narratives and the ideologies behind them.
