Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

Penique Productions is an artistic project created by Sergi Arbusà. Conceived at the Universitat de Barcelona, 2007, the project traveled to Rio de Janeiro in 2008 until 2021, when it returned home, settling in Vilanova de Bellpuig. The project, based on the creation of inflatable and ephemeral installations, seeks to appropriate and transform space. Starting from a specific place, the team builds a "made ot measure" inflatable that relates to a particular chosen architecture. By containing the art work, the place and its context give it its final form and blurs the exact definition of what makes up an art work.
