Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

PELE is a collective that creates art projects as spaces for reflection, action and civic as well as political participation. It fosters processes of individual and collective transformation. Since its founding in 2007, it has focused on accessibility and artistic participation. By crossing audiences, sectors, artistic languages, territories and partners, it creates horizontal decision-making spaces and alternative models of collective creation.
