Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

Navid Nuur approaches material and surrounding space with near-devotional focus, shaping work he calls “interimodules”. Through subtle shifts and fine-tuned details, he draws viewers into an intimate inner world. Although rooted in conceptual thinking, his work often begins with a personal visual question. For Nuur, form does not simply follow idea; it emerges through the intuition and condition of the one creating it. Exploring light, energy, air and “rest space”, his interimodules exist in a temporary in-between state, where meaning is not fixed but unfolds through language, perception and change.
